Solar-powered home, Rustic inspired Interiors, Earthy and Monochromatic color palettes, Airy and Authentic
Building a low maintenance house was a priority. We accomplished that by manipulating the proportions of the interior ceilings and bringing into play abundant concrete and wooden Denison planks. Resonating with the feel of a minimalist brutalist style, this solar powered house coheres a cigar room, wine cellar, bedrooms, dining/living room, and a kitchen with breath-taking views of the American River.
The indoors and outdoors appear to be flowing seamlessly with a bare floor-to-ceiling glass partition that permeates the natural light. In addition, the high ceilings and exposed floating interiors offer a light and spacious feel to the unfinished raw interiors. Concrete and IPE wood flawlessly emulsify all around this Bauhaus brutalist inspired structure to emit a warm and welcoming look.
